Why choose between seeing animals, visiting the desert, or eating local food when you can do it all?
The Souss-Massa & Mini Sahara Tour is our flagship full-day excursion. It takes you deep into the countryside to experience the true diversity of Southern Morocco.
Your day begins with a wildlife safari to spot rare Saharan antelopes and ostriches. Then, we leave the paved roads behind to drive along the Atlantic coastline to the fishermen’s caves of Sidi R’bat. After a delicious home-cooked lunch in a local Berber house, we head to the golden dunes of the “Mini Sahara” (Rasmouka) and the majestic Youssef Ibn Tachfin Dam. This is not just a tour; it’s a journey into the heart of the Souss-Massa region.
We pick you up from your hotel reception in Agadir or Taghazout in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
Our first major stop is the Souss-Massa National Park. We visit the museum and then head into the reserves to spot the endangered antelopes and ostriches.
We hit the Atlantic coast. See the pristine, empty beaches and explore the unique caves where local fishermen live and store their catch.
We drive to the village of Massa or Rasmouka for a highlight of the trip: a traditional lunch prepared by a local Berber family. The menu typically includes salad, Chicken/Vegetable Tajine, Couscous, seasonal fruits, and mint tea.
After lunch, we visit the Rasmouka Dunes (Mini Sahara). It’s a perfect spot for photos, feeling the desert sand between your toes, or trying a bit of sandboarding (if available).
We end the adventure with a drive up to the Youssef Ibn Tachfin Dam. The view from the top—looking out over the reservoir and the Anti-Atlas mountains—is spectacular.
A quick stop to see how traditional Moroccan pottery is made before heading home.
